Video in Asterisk for quite some time was rudimentary and simple, but in recent years we have expanded and added new functionality providing a better user experience. This talk will take a dive through the history of video in Asterisk from the very beginning to how it works in the most recent versions of Asterisk. We will discuss the foundations added to Asterisk to better improve the experience and the features that have been built upon it. This will include features and functionality developed over the past year as part of Asterisk 18 development.
